I am learning the French language at evening classes and two weeks ago we learned of the tradition of "une Galette des Rois" on January 5th. We each had a piece of cake and I was fortunate to find "une fève" in my piece of cake.
As is the tradition, I was to make the next Galette using the "fève" which I did. I thought it would be a good idea to have my own "fève" so I could make one next year but I was unable to find anyone selling them.
I went on both the English and French Amazon websites but was unable to find any to buy except second-hand on EBay.
Can you suggest a website where one may be obtained?

Somehow I stumbled upon your site and found the writing witty and the history interesting. My wife loves cooking shows and I love great music and Christian history/biography, so there is much to attract me here. I linked to you from the Christian History Institute website that I manage.

Kendra: Do check out the other chaps. They are quite as wonderful, if not as prolific, as Gerhardt. (I must confess though I love Phillip Nicolai the best. Wachtet Auf is one of my favorite pieces ever. Only by attempting to sing the alto line, thereby forcing me to concentrate on the notes (because I am the worst harmonizer ever to cross the threshold of a Lutheran choir loft) do I prevent myself from crying in public.)
